(BLMS-NU) Man i have i question. I have an issue with HPF .. i have Alpine headunit UTE-200BT the problem is when i turn ON the HPF no matter at what frequency i set it 80,120,... (i would like to run it at 80hz) as soon as i turn the volume above medium but still far away from the maximum (max volume on the headunit is 35, anything above 25 is a problem with HPF turned on) the tweeters start to make a weird poping sound everytiime in a song there is a snare hitting. but as soon as i turn the HPF OFF i can go way more crazy with the volume (up to 33 or even maximum i did it once just for a test i never run my system at full volume) and it does not happen. It's so confusing i have no clue. I would be so thankfull if you can help me! oh and one more thing i dont use any crossovers i just changed the stock car speakers with these and they are Alpine SXE-1750S they have a capacitor for a tweeter so its protected from the low frequencies.

You reccomend Titebond II however difficult to find where I live however I can get Gorilla Glue and Evostick wood glues. Just wondering which to but and for a project this size what quantity to buy. (Daniel H) I built a bigger version of that for my cousin old bronco. Man did it sound good even when you open the back since its facing down it still sounded good. Then another one of our cousins looked at it and told him to cut the bottom pieces so it would be smooth and face the sub inside. It sounded like $&>t and I told him I will never build you a box again. He use to ask and I would refer him to our other cousin he doesn't ask anymore lol.

(Ted King) So I have a 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe I bought a Kicker Baric L7S 12" 2-OHM it came in a ported subwoofer enclosure I figured that a single subwoofer in an enclosure wouldn't give me any issues but it's to big to fit in my trunk the enclosure is about 2 and a half inchs to big from fitting it into the trunk I didnt realize it and I didnt install it right away and it's to late to return it I took my back seat out and made a bracket to set it on but now I have a huge box in the back seat I really want to put this into my trunk because I have kids and need to be able to use the trunk. The speaker is the square one could you give me some ideas on how to build a box to fit this into my trunk the main thing is I still need to be able to get to my spare tire I dont really care about how much space I have in the trunk so long as the speaker fits in the trunk and I'm able to get it out to get to my tire I have liked and subscribed to the channel thank you in advance!

But Audison recommend 10-12L boxes , however if I put paraments of the speaker in to online calculator , to get 10L Qtc have to be around 1.1 which I do believe is to high. What is your opinion? (Jeff Schultz) Hey man, I have a question and you’re the only person that I know who I’m sure would know. When I start my car and turn my music up, the subs hit super hard. But after about 5-10 minutes they start to get quieter. It’s pretty much every time too. They get about 1/3 rd quieter and pretty much stay that way until I shut the car off and start it again. Would a capacitor fix this issue do you think? Or maybe my wire size is too small? (Which I don’t think is the issue) after that I would think it’s the battery or alternator. But wondering if I should try the capacitor first to rule things out.

I have a 2011 Nissan Altima coupe with the upgraded 9 bose speaker package I installed 2 10in kicker comp r’s with a CXA1800 watt amp and kept my factory radio so I tapped into the right rear speaker with a PAC LP7-2 line output converter so when I turn my radio up past like 23 I get a slight weird noise out of the single speaker I tapped into. Its very minor and most people don’t notice it but I sure do. Any reason why this is happening? Should I hook up the extra ground wire (brown wire) on the lp7-2 or should I buy a ground loop isolated? Btw i use AUX not sure if that matters thanks!!!

(No Itinerary Required) Love your videos - one tip from a woodworker learning about building sub boxes - When you used CA glue for the braces - one good tip is to use both CA glue and wood glue - you can use wood glue for most of the joint but leave a point on each end of the joint for CA glue. The CA glue acts as you wanted (quick solid connection when you didn't have a brad nail that would work), the CA glue then allows the wood glue to make an stronger bond for the remainder of the joint (with the CA glue acting as the brad or clamp as the wood glue dries).

(Tibor Makai) I have installed the JL Audio sub in my spare wheel(spare does not have extra holes, just the 5 and the center hole), that I have sealed the holes, with a rubber seal and an aluminum 6" "washer", all bolted down to the car. Placed an MDF over the wheel, made the cutout for the sub and the speaker terminals and strap it, with two ratcheting straps. It hits haaaard. Spare has well over 1.3 cu/ft.

(Joe B) I like the idea of using the wood grain material as a inlay to create a more dramatic look. Personally I'd rather see a piece of carbon fiber (even a piece of formica covered in some 3M faux carbon fiber vinyl). I just don't care for "natural" materials in obviously high tech modern vehicles. I'd prefer high tech or modern textiles or maybe a sheet of brushed or polished aluminum. Maybe with your logo created in a high gloss polish and the area around it brushed. I don't know, you were asking for opinions and that's Just mine. Keep up the great work and great tubes, looking forward to the next one.

(Darks D) I thought JL says the TW series isnt designed to play in a ported enclosure? Maybe that's just the TW5? But I was looking at the tw3 as well and all videos or forums where it was brought up always ended with JL professional or enthusiasts say don't. Either damage will be possible or they wont play to their potential. If not I'd love to see what you could do with a TW5 enclosure. :p I love mine and I'm tempted to get a second one but I'm trying to decide how I want to design the box to hide in my spare tire area. I wish I had a work shop like your to build in. You have some of the best builds and the tools that give you and edge are amazing. Cant like your vids enough.

I had a custom fiberglass box in my older 4Runner and loved it, but that was a long time ago. I'm curious about a setup with 3 or 4 8" woofers, or maybe using shallow mount 10's could leave you with more options to make a box that is better hidden.

(fortyfukinseven) I've had an idea for a while that I think would be the best of both worlds for someone who wants to ground pound, but still wants some cargo space. I'd like to see a "wall" of shallow mount subs, laid flat on the floor of an SUV. Maybe 4 or 6 subs in a "wall" configuration. Either 4th order bandpass, or down firing (more or less the same concept). I don't care to take credit for the idea, I just want to see someone do it. Since you have sponsorship, maybe suggest the idea to a sponsor, and maybe give us a video. Keep up the good work.

(Jonathan Kim) I'd be up for that router video. Just picked up a Bosche router with table but have yet to use it very much. Also any thoughts on a quick disconnect subwoofer? For example, I know several people who are hesitant on getting a sub installed as it takes up a permanent spot in their trunk. It would be awesome if there was a way to make a quick disconnect subwoofer that can be removed in seconds and without tools. This would be for people who have a limited trunk space but don't want to compromise for a sub, for say like a road trip or when they really need to use all of their trunk space Another video that might be great would be best ways to secure subs in the trunk, especially for people who don't want to drill a sub into their car or make any other permanent modification.
