(Almost Zen) Great job on the box! I have no doubt that it hits clean and hard for two 6.5 inch subs. As you continue to build enclosures, maybe consider getting a Kreg Jig. You can hide your screws and countersink them then plug the holes so you don't have to remove any screws when routing the edges. I would go with Duratex to cover the enclosure with because it's so easy to use and looks great plus it seals it from any moisture.

You remind me of the kid down the street who uses their moms extension cord to run his subwoofer wire... Great you have a YouTube channel, but I have to say it does not mean you know very much about car audio... I have seen so many kids like you come and go, bringing there rigged up systems to me to fix.. you're on the right path don't get me wrong, but you're using the wrong equipment... You're using the cheapest car audio there is on the market, garbage audio we call it... Brazilian made junk, Skar audio and stuff that I would never put in a customer's car because it's going to burn up, it's junk... Have you been through any kind of certification program or education for car audio installation? Anything?

(Fish R Relaxing) Been using this program for a while.. but you’re going to have a lot of port noise running a port like that based on 9sqin on 6.5’s.. I could put this in other programs and check this but you should be no less then 1sqin per diameter of sub as a baseline standard.. with two 6.5’s the smallest you should be is 13sq and even then depending the size of the box you’re going to have port noise.. given the cubes of that box you most definitely are.. I’d have played around with .33-.5 cubes checking the response and tuned the port based on the response I wanted not what they recommend.. that box should most likely be .33-.4net per tuned to 35 to get it to play how one would actually want it too with a solid +3ish port boost and slow drop off. With what you did to that port sizing you just returned that box from 47 or whatever it was to like 54 lol.. you just made a very expensive mid base box that will generate a lot of port noise and likely be very peaky and boomy around the tuning with I’d guess a +6 at 54.. that is not a good build at all man and you know this.. this is first timer newb shit you posted right here..

(Balls Onya) They had 12sq" of port and u did 9 and .50 cuft box is small u could have just made the port width wider and it would still fit at 12sq"

(Dre Ci) Freakin hate terminal cups, unless you heavily seal them forever, too large a diameter, too much plastic to vibrate. A brace in the middle would have helped with the box rigidity and resonance. Due to the slot port, your tuning might have ended lower than predicted, due to K end factor of geometry of vent = increased group delay and phase shift, due to bends. Furthermore, vent area and length are directly proportional to power handling and vent noise. I would never use less than an 8in sub unless absolutely necessary for space, but those CT sounds cost a fortune in Europe, no one uses them. Those online box calcs are primitive when it comes to most calculations. I wonder how you got the speaker displacement figured out, or was it given anywhere. All in all a good starting point. ;)

(Socal 8.1) i could be wrong but the specs you read were for only 1 6.5, so since you have to i think you were supposed to double the .5 cubes to 1.0 cube and the 12 inches of port to 24 inches. i could be wrong tho parker, box still sounds good tho!

(R_P_M) I'd use glue and some brad nails for a wood enclosure I could stain and make look good. Screws are ok only if you are carpeting the box. And if you are going to carpet might as well use MDF.

(Travis Abrahamson) I find the manufacturers recommend enclosure sizes to be way off. When you enter t/s parameters in enclosure molding software, it paints a very different picture. I'm running a scar 18 and they called for 2.75 sealed and 4 ish ported . After modeling it needs over 10 feet ported and between 4-8 sealed. I tell you it is allot better in the bigger boxes by far.
