One thing Ive NEVER had in all my life of subwoofers in my cars (It was VERY hard to buy anything else where I lived in Australia in a small town) is a sub/amp that was over 1,000W RMS. I think the Most wattage I had on a single sub was around 400W RMS (not "Max" wattage, I'm talking RMS) & I have had 10inch, 12inch & 15inch subs (almost exclusively 15") so can ANYONE tell me, as I know if u get a 400w 10" VS a 300W 15" the 15" will blow the 10 away, but, if you had a 1,000W 10inch (for example) VS a 300W 15 inch, does the smaller sub eventually start to "out bass" the larger sub?? Can a 10" sound as good as a 400W 15"??

(CRACKED HEAD) Built a 2x4 framed table that cradles your little table saw. You want the top dimensions to be about 4’x6’ with your saw inset from the front edge about 3”. Lag bolt the table saw base to the table frame, leaving it about 1/4” lower than the table surface. Use shims on all four mounting points of the table saw until perfectly flush with the table work surface. Layer 3 sheets of high-ply plywood for a rigid and flat top surface. Round over the edges with your router and sand the top surface for a smooth work area. You can wire in a couple receptacles to power your table and other tools. Build a rip-fence from the cut-offs of your plywood and use clamps to secure it in place for precise cuts. You can even flush in your router on the opposite end of your table saw for a multi-use work table. Casters can be added to the table legs for ease of mobility around the garage, if so desired. I’ve used this type of setup for decades in commercial cabinet building, and it allows one man to easily manipulate an entire 4x8 sheet of material and lends itself to making safe, perfect cuts. Hope this sparks an idea of your own that makes your shop that much more efficient.

Try to have them firing towards the rear of the car and the reverb will have it to sound a little cleaner and a small gain in Db's! Anyways thats just kinda found that out by accident! Why not towards the trunk? I have 2 Alpine Type R's in my BMW 5 series and had them facing the front for the longest time just because they looked so nice but was never completely happy with the bass response. There was too much of the higher frequencies and not enough lows. I turned them around today to face the trunk and gained a lot more output and more low end response.

Another thing, when you installed the red power wire and made the chassis hole I wonder if you installed a rubber washer to avoid the chassis cutting through the wire and causing a short circuit, that's kind of important even though you did install a fuse right a the battery. (tstuff) Back in the early 90s I had a Charger with a hatchback and nice little setup like this. I had to foam under the license plate because it made so much noise. Then I found the panels inside needed better insulation behind them to reduce vibration and made it sound better. Unfortunately over time it the seal around the back window started pushing loose and the hatchback loosened too. Cars are not built to handle this stuff for very long. Or maybe it was just back then. I haven't done anything in 15 years.

(David Irwin) To each his/her own I suppose. Let the car rattles begin, and I hope you don't like your neighbors in a 5 block radius. I'm installing audiophile pro grade speakers. I'll have clean, natural sounding bass. I'm looking for studio monitor sound. To me, that system is just noise beyond belief. But I know many people really enjoy it. If I'm in the car next to you though, I'll give a disapproving glare :) When I do the numbers though, 2 6x9" and 2 6.5" speakers equals ~28" of woofer material down to 50 Hz, compared to your 20". That's just woofers. I'm not counting the in dash and coaxial tweeters. No, I won't have 3" of throw on the cones, but I'm not looking to loosen every nut and bolt either. Nor would I want to lose 60% of my trunk. Another bonus to my system, everything fits behind the factory speaker grills and under the seat. Nothing will be visible. It looks like I just have the crappy, basic OEM system, but it'll sound incredible... well... to me, and others looking for natural sound.

I have a 12" Ground Zero in a thunder bandpass box from 1997 and I'm the only owner of that sub it still works like the day I bought it.. I have it in a 92 Escort GT and with the amp I have now it distorts my vision and when I get out of my car my equilibrium is off in my brain its a little harder to think and speak..

I have active mode, but I’m pushing them with a DC 175.4, so I’m having trouble finding mids and highs that can take it! I had focal KRX2 61/2’s but a wire short cause some ground loop and blew my highs! One little strand of wire touched a hot and boom it was blew before I could yank the RCA, or kill anything! Turning volume down didn’t do anything! But that’s the price you pay to run active I guess! Oh and I have 150db dc audio LVL4’s 12’s in My tiny hatch so lot of bass for 4-6 highs to keep up with! But my highs actually have more power but need to be able to handle more power!I also have new alt, XP3000 battery and tons of dual 1/0 XS flex ofc wire!

(V. Nickerson) Just found your channel and I'm really happy I did. Love the energy, commitment and the genuine vibe you give off. Couple things I do when building a box (or a house for that matter) that may help you out.. When using wood period, a carpenters square or speed square should be in arms reach at all times. Checking for squareness before every cut is a must. Especially the first few cuts. If that first cut is out and you use that as a template? Everything from then on is going to be out of square. Get a skill saw with a laser guide. So much easier to keep your saw straight. Even better you can use a straight edge and clamp both sides and use it to guide your saw along. Perfect cut every time. Even better then that would be investing in a bigger table saw or one with with an extended pull out. Congrats on your success and hoping it continues. Kind regards V Edit: Oh and please please anchor that table saw when using it. One quick twist or slip and it jams up you may lose a nice straight cut. One quick twist AND slip you may lose a finger. Also, if you carpet the box you could easily get away with not filling the dents from the screws if you just didn't drive them so deep...

Its not enough for me! I am a child bass head and I wish my parents thought the same... The subwoofer you are giving out is exactly what I could use to prove my parents that bass is good! They are using a bad speaker inside of the Google Home and I wish they could use an upgrade. I enjoy all of your videos EXO! I should give the subwoofer to my little brother for supporting me and being a bass head just like me! I am not alone! 👍

Just one thing, if that is a lead acid battery, it should not be installed vertically or on it's side, because the cells above would be depleted from the acid mix and ruin the battery. Not to mention acid leaking inside the car, which is very bad for numerous reasons. I would recommend either a smaller battery or a gel type battery, since the latter doesn't care of orientation.

Seems like you took a few unnecessary steps & why use a battery instead of a 1or 2 farad capacitor which stores energy like a battery & takes up a 1/4 of the space + protects your alternator. And yes the G2's are nice... but you can get RF,Kicker Comp, etc. woofers with just as much kick or more for less $.

Also mixing up an old(leaking!!!!) battery with a good working one will end up killing the good one after a while... Even if both batteries were in good condition you should always add a voltage sensitive battery isolator on that type of assembly.
